Age And Attempts
  • General Category: The age limit should not be more than 32 years for unreserved category and only 6 attempts to apply for UPSC exams.
  • OBS: Age limit should be 35 years for OBS candidates and 9 attempts to crack the exam.
  • SC/ST: These candidates age should not be more than 37 years and there is no restriction for the number of attempts.
  • J&K Candidates: Age limit for General is 37 and SC/ST, OBC is 40 and Physically handicapped is 50 years and there is no limit for attempts.
UPSC Exam Pattern and Syllabus  2019
  • UPSC exam 2019 is going to be run into two stages, Preliminary and Main. UPSC 2019 prelim date has already been announced.
  • UPSC exam pattern 2019 prelims consist of two papers of two hours duration carrying total marks of 200 each.
  • The paper I of UPSC 2019 prelim is based on general studies. Paper II will assess candidate skills. The candidate is going to need to try 80 queries for 200 marks in this exam.
