Basmati Rice for dum
biryani (Quality):1KG
Ghee:50 Grams
Oil:200 Grams
Cashew nuts:50 Grams
Ginger:200 Grams
Garlic:100 Grams
Curd:150 Grams
Green chili:10 -15 pieces
Red chili powder:2 tablespoons
Salt: Need
Coriander leaves:1 Cup
Mint:1 Cup
Cumin powder:2 tablespoons
Preparation Method
Preparation of dum biryani is very simple all of that we
need some attention.
In Step one we take mutton/chicken pieces in a bowl add two
tablespoons of ginger garlic paste, salt, two tablespoons of red chili powder,
one tablespoon of turmeric powder and curd. Mix all of these ingredients
thoroughly and put it aside for 2 hrs.
step 2:
Before proceeding to further, Take Basmati rice and soak in
water for one hour.
step 3:
Take a bowl/pan add some oil and allow for heating. Add chopped
onions, cardamom, clove, Cinnamon each of 5-6 pieces, wait until onion comes
in light brown color.
step 4:
Add ginger garlic paste and cook it for a while. now add
meat, mint, coriander, green chili. Pour 2 cups of water and allow
to cook for 15-20 min or until ingredients got dissolve.
step 5:
finally, add the lemon juice and cook for another 5 minutes.
Formally this dish will know as khurma in the local language.
step 6:
Aside take a bowl and pour water of its 3/4, add mint
leaves, cardamom 4-5 pieces and boil water. add soaked rice to it. cook until
raise half boil and take it out from the water.
step 7:
Add basmati to khurma and cover with lid to seal it and cook
for about 25-30 minutes.
Tasty dum biryani is ready to eat, serve with round sliced
onions, lemon, and boiled eggs.
